Black Cherries

I'm drinking black water from the sea I'm drowning in the waves until it hurts You're the cherry in the water covers me And no one can save me Wind in my face and I'm like drunk Salt on my lips this is my ocean I go in and carry the city inside Only the sea sees I'm drinking black water from the sea I'm drowning in the waves until it hurts You're the cherry in the water covers me And no one can save me I'm drowning in this strange light Where we were almost like children And the taste of this world is forbidden But it still calls me to you The shore is empty, just shadows and smoke I was different, oh I was with him The cherry taste on my lips is bitter And my heart still seems to be screaming The black surface reflects my fear And I dissolve in her arms Every wave is like your answer But you're not in this sea I drink the black water from the sea I'm drowning in the waves until it hurts And the cherry in the water covers me No one can save me I'm drowning in this strange light Where we were almost like children And the taste of this world is forbidden But it still calls me to you
