Phones Down

Now that we're here Put your phone down, put your phone down! We find ourselves confronted by that pulse Put your phone down, put your phone down! That thing that used to drive us to dance Where we used to live in the moment Now we put our devices high up into the sky To record that thing that's right in front of our faces Must be that new generation where posting your night is all the rage It's as if your phone is your soul and the picture is your spirit Don't you hear it? How dare you not dance? How dare you just chill? Is it all about the click? Put your phone down, put your phone down! Put your phone down, put your phone down! Life isn't meant to be lived on an Instagram wall Each minute of every day needs to be cherished in real time They say a picture is worth a thousand words But I can use a million words to describe the same thing It would have a thousand times more Color if you close your eyes and imagine So do me a favor Put your phone down, put your phone down! Just for this moment Put your phone down, put your phone down! Use your souls to record the next few seconds Put your phone down, put your phone down! Use this time to look at the look on your best friend's face Put your phone down, put your phone down! Hug somebody, love somebody Tell somebody how you feel right now Put your phone down, put your phone down! These are the moments in our lives that are important No device can capture this feeling No device can take you to this place of bliss So just for the moment, put away your click Put your phone down, put your phone down! Is it all about the click? Put your phone down, put your phone down! Put your phone down, put your phone down!
